What are the Steps to Working with Smooth Transitions?

Our process is thorough but easy to navigate if you respond quickly and accurately:

1. Complete a Preliminary Information Form
2. Complete a Placement Application
3. Complete and Pass an Aptitude Test
4. Participate in a Telephone Interview
5. Participate in a Face-to-Face Interview
6. Attend an Orientation Meeting
7. Start working with Smooth Transitions!

Preliminary Information Form

Once we have reviewed your preliminary information form, and you meet our minimum qualifications, we will send you a link to access a more detailed application that you will need to complete and return.

Placement Application

Once we have reviewed your application, we will send you a basic skill level test that includes topics such as newborn care, mother care and working with premature infants.

Aptitude Test

If you score above a 90% on the test, we will then schedule a telephone interview with you to discuss your application, goals and preferences.

Telephone Interview

If we feel you are a potentially good match for our families, we will then schedule a face-to-face interview in our Cherry Creek office. This will give both parties a chance to ask questions and determine whether it would be a good 'fit'.

Face-to-Face Interview

Please be aware that you will need to provide a copy of your social security card and  driver's license along with personal information and 3 references so that we can conduct a thorough background investigation of your driving, criminal and working record before considering you for placement.

Orientation

You will meet with a Smooth Transitions Representative to learn our Policies and Procedures as well our philosophy and how we do business. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn tips for interviewing clients.

Working with Smooth Transitions

If your background and reference checks are positive, we can then add you as an Active Baby Nurse or Newborn Care Specialist and start scheduling you for interviews with our clients.
