Our Process
Ideally, you should contact us three to four months prior to your due date, especially if you are expecting twins or triplets. That will give everyone plenty of time to complete the process in a way that is the least stressful and the most thorough. If you are due much sooner that that or you have already delivered, it is still possible to place a Specialist in your home but please contact us as soon as possible so we can do our best to get you the care you need.
Initial Home Visit
A Smooth Transitions Representative meets with you and your family in your home to find out what you are looking for in a Newborn Care Specialist and what your needs are. They will also answer any further questions you have about the service and/or the process at this time.
Determine Your Needs
Since most parents aren't sure how much care they will require, we help you evaluate your needs after discussing your situation and your schedule.
Interview Newborn Care Specialists
Once we know your needs and can recommend a potential candidate we will forwad their resume for your review. If you think they are a good match for your we will set up an interview to meet face-to-face. If the candidate meets with your approval we will supply you with the names and numbers of their previous families to help you make a final decision.
If you need more help than one Specialist can offer you will repeat the above process until you select an additional Specialist.
Create an Agreement
An agreement is then reached as to what amount of care is needed and for how long. We handle all scheduling and coordination for you so that you don't have to worry about the details.
Enjoy In-Home Infant Care
Once care begins all you will have to do is sign a timesheet and pay the weekly invoice. We even make payment easy since we accept Mastercard, VISA, American Express, and PayPal. We can also set up automatic payments, if you prefer.
